Grand Master Chul Jin Kim has dedicated his life to
studying and teaching martial arts - not one single
style, but several styles of martial arts. His
accomplishments include the following black belt
achievements:
9th degree Hapkido
8th degree Tae Kwon Do
5th degree Kendo
6th degree Judo
GM Chul Jin continues to be an avid student of the
martial arts and practices regularly. At this time he
is actively enrolled in several courses of study
including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kendo, and Iaido. At
Chul Jin Martial Arts Headquarters, students are taught
Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Judo, Iaido, Kendo, Brazilian
Jiu-Jitsu, Hankido, and the skilled handling of numerous
martial arts weapons.
GM Chul Jin Kim is a first generation student of Kuk Sa
Nim Jae Nam Myong (Kuk Sa Nim = Grand Master / National
Master Instructor) and served as the US President of the
International Hapkido Federation from 1984 – 1999.
Kuk Sa Nim Jae Nam Myong is a founder of the first Korea
Hapkido Federation (KHF) in Korea, which was registered
by the South Korean Ministry of Education in 1969. He
was inaugurated as Grand Master that same year. Later,
in 1974, he founded the International Hapkido Federation
(IHF). Jae Nam Myong continued to further the teaching
of Hapkido world wide through numerous tours, seminars
and publications until his death in 1999. |
